Born in 1988 Brian's interest in art came when he took his first drawing class in college. He is very grateful to his parents, and wife that have supported him in his dream of becoming a professional artist. Brian has been studying art at Brigham Young University Idaho and credits the knowledgeable and student oriented faculty of the BYUI art department for giving him "the tools all representational artists must have to open the door to communicating in the visual arts". He pays particular credit to the great painter, and instructor, Albin Veselka for great instruction and sound advice. Brian continues to grow as a figurative painter and caricaturist under the tutelage of the always impressive Jason Seiler. He attributes all success to hard work and dedication, along with a spirit of exploration. Some of Brian's influences he credits for his inspiration and development are Nicolai Fechin, John Singer Sargent, Albin Veselka, Jason Seiler, Jeff Stahl, and Leon Parson, among many others.
